Sean Curtin   Owner/Manager

Sean was born in ADARE COUNTY LIMERICK IRELAND.  He was raised on a dairy farm, but as on most farms in Ireland, his boyhood farm was also populated by horses.  Sean began riding at a young age.  His affinity for horses led him to a job working for Coolmore in Ireland at the young age of 17. 

Sean's experience with Coolmore was extensive.  In addition to Coolmore's location in Ireland, Sean also worked at their studs in Australia, New Zealand, as well as a brief period at their location in Germany.  Sean finally came to Ashford Stud in America after 10 years with Coolmore. 

After his work at Coolmore, Sean filled the farm manager position at Empire Stud in New York State.  He held that position for three years before returning to the bluegrass of Kentucky to begin Moonestone in 2005.
